Introduction of Research Paper using PROTEOSAVE
トップ画像

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), showing multipotency and immunoregulatory roles, hold promise for regenerative therapy and inflammatory diseases.
However, allogeneic MSCs are scarce, and autologous MSCs face limitations including invasive collection and reduced stemness after long-term culture. Here, we introduce a paper published in Stem Cell Research & Therapy titled "Chemical direct conversion of human fibroblasts to mesenchymal stem cells that can alleviate inflammation in vivo". This study chemically reprogrammed human dermal fibroblasts into MSC-like cells (cdMSCs) using TGF-β receptor, ATM, and ROCK inhibitors. The cdMSCs expressed MSC markers, exhibited multipotent differentiation, and in inflammatory mouse models promoted tissue repair and inflammation reduction. RNA-seq and DNA methylation analyses indicated epigenomic reprogramming. Exosomes from cdMSCs facilitated anti-inflammatory macrophage polarization. PROTEOSAVE was employed to minimize protein loss during exosome preparation.
This approach may offer a novel solution to MSC supply challenges.

Report on Our Participation at MPS World Summit 2026

From May 26 to 29, we exhibited our latest MPS products and presented a poster at the MPS World Summit 2026 in Washington D.C. Our poster featured an innovative coupling co-culture system utilizing BioStellar Plate and MyoFlex Plate. By linking 3D cardiac tissue with a liver model, we enabled cardiotoxicity assessment that incorporates hepatic drug metabolism. The platform’s drug low-adsorption and removable pillars address key challenges in current workflows, advancing drug discovery research. We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and engaged in valuable discussions.

Exhibition and Luncheon Seminar at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology

At the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Toxicology, held at the Grand Cube Osaka (Osaka International Convention Center), the CSAHi Safety Assessment MPS Application Team, consisting of four companies, will join forces to hold a luncheon seminar titled "The Future of Safety Assessment Opened by MPS."
In recent years, MPS technology has made groundbreaking progress in pharmaceutical development and toxicity assessment, with its range of applications expanding. In this seminar, the four companies will share the latest insights on safety assessment using MPS from their respective perspectives.
At the corporate exhibition booth (Booth No. 118), we will display the on-chip pump-type multi-organ MPS "BioStellar Plate," which reproduces interactions among multiple organs to provide a more realistic biomimetic environment, as well as the "PrimeSurface Series," a three-dimensional cell culture device that efficiently cultures uniform 3D cell spheroids.
Please be sure to stop by.

I’m Shoji from the S-Bio Business Division.
June has arrived, bringing with it the pleasant breezes of early summer. On my days off, I enjoy taking care of my lawn and doing some gardening. In May, I worked on root pruning, adding soil, and replacing damaged sections of the grass. For my gardening projects, I refreshed an old sandbox that my children no longer use by replacing the soil and turning it into a new flower bed.
I have started planting summer flowers, and the colorful blooms are now brightening up my garden. Working in the garden has been a wonderful way to stay active and refreshed.
I hope you all enjoy this season full of greenery and stay healthy.
