Introduction of Research Papers using PrimeSurface™
As part of molecular targeted therapy, treatments using CAR-T cells are gaining attention. However, there are many challenges in solid tumors, and especially for cervical cancer, new therapies are needed. We introduce the study "Anti-Mesothelin CAR-NK cells as a novel targeted therapy against cervical cancer," published in Frontiers in Immunology.
The study evaluated the efficacy of anti-Mesothelin CAR-NK cells targeting mesothelin. In the 3D spheroid model of mesothelin-positive cervical cancer cells made with PrimeSurface™ 96U plates, anti-Mesothelin CAR-NK cells exhibited high cytotoxicity and antigen specificity was confirmed through CRISPR-Cas9 methods.
Moreover, the combination with chemotherapy demonstrated effects surpassing those of monotherapy. Based on these findings, the efficacy of molecular targeted therapy focusing on mesothelin was demonstrated as a novel treatment for cervical cancer, raising expectations for further clinical applications.

Additionally, while conventional procedures for medium exchange were cumbersome, requiring users to lift the insert or insert the tip of a pipette through gaps around the insert, this product features a medium exchange port next to each well, enabling quick and easy medium exchange.

Cell Desk LF is a plastic cover slip that can be used for cell fixation and specimen preparation. It utilizes low autofluorescence plastic, enabling fluorescence observation. Additionally, the tab section can be easily pinched with tweezers, facilitating precise manipulation.
This is Rei Inoue from the Marketing and Sales Department of the S-Bio Division. This month's issue of S-BIO Insight features a paper on "cervical cancer." The paper suggests the potential of new therapeutic drugs, showcasing advancements in cancer treatment.
On the other hand, it comes to my mind once again that no matter how much treatment progresses, taking preventive actions to avoid illness is of utmost importance. Personally, I undergo cervical cancer screening every year, although I feel it a bit bothersome, to be honest. However, taking the time for regular health check-ups is essential to protect one's health.
Moving forward, I intend to continue prioritizing my health by ensuring I never skip these check-ups.
