Literature Introduction on 3D Cell Culture Products: Low-Adsorption PrimeSurface™
Organoids are gaining attention as tools for evaluating developmental and disease models, but kidney organoids created in vitro face the challenge of having a short survival rate. If long-term survival of kidney organoids becomes feasible, their clinical value as kidney models for functional evaluation and nephrotoxicity testing is expected to increase.
This time, we introduce the paper "Long-term viable chimeric nephrons generated from progenitor cells are a reliable model in cisplatin-induced toxicity," published in Communications Biology. In this study, spheroid formation of renal progenitor cells and differentiation into renal progenitor cells from human iPS cells were performed using PrimeSurface™ plates. Formed spheroids and RPCs were transplanted using the neonatal niche injection (NNI) method, resulting in the formation of long-term viable chimeric nephrons, which demonstrated potential for use in nephrotoxicity evaluation.

Launch of the Capillary Electrophoresis Antibody Glycan Sample Preparation Kit "EZGlyco® mAb-N Kit with APTS"
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new product "EZGlyco® mAb-N Kit with APTS." This product is a sample preparation kit for glycan analysis of antibody drugs and supports the preparation of glycan samples for capillary electrophoresis. Capillary electrophoresis enables the analysis of numerous samples in a short time, and its combination with this product is expected to further enhance the efficiency of glycan analysis for antibody drugs.
We exhibited at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Regenerative Medicine
Our company participated in the corporate exhibition at the 24th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine, held at Pacifico Yokohama from March 20 to 22. The new products we showcased, which support large-scale cell culture and collection, garnered significant interest from attendees, giving us a strong sense that regenerative medicine is moving closer to industrialization.
This is Tanaka from the S-Bio Division. The weather has become milder, making it a more comfortable season. April marks the start of the new school term for students and the beginning of the fiscal year for companies, and many people may be welcoming spring with a fresh mindset. On the other hand, this season is also a time when fluctuations in temperature and environmental changes can easily affect both physical and mental health. Let's take care of our health and fully enjoy spring events like cherry blossom viewing.
