• COF (Chip On Film)
On FPCs IC chips can be mounted directly allowing a thin profile, light weight, and also compactness. This enables freer design due to the relaxed dimensional restrictions.

• FPCs with ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Film)
Interconnection at lower temperatures under lower pressure than those possible with soldering.
