| Super-Hemit®, a newly developed highly efficient heat insulation board,
has bean developed using Sumitomo Bakelite's long experience with composite
molding architecture. The features and characteristics of Super-Hemit® are
summarized as follows: |
| 1. |
This products raw material comprise of glass cloth and specific synthetic
resins. This means that it is completely free from asbestos, and therefore
environmentally friendly. |
| 2. |
The mechanical strength in terms of loaded thickness dislocation is half of
asbestos materials composition and the compressed load yielding strength remains at 40Kg/mm2 under 200ºC. |
| 3. |
The thermal conductivity of 0.21W/mk up to 200ºC is lower than current
asbestos materials or glass compositions and therefore the following merits
can be secured:
(1) The time of heating molds is shortened
(2) The rise of the molding machine is speeded up.
(3) Energy is saved. |
