Super-Hemit®, a newly developed highly efficient heat insulation board, has bean developed using Sumitomo Bakelite's long experience with composite molding architecture. The features and characteristics of Super-Hemit® are summarized as follows:
1. This products raw material comprise of glass cloth and specific synthetic resins. This means that it is completely free from asbestos, and therefore environmentally friendly.
2. The mechanical strength in terms of loaded thickness dislocation is half of asbestos materials composition and the compressed load yielding strength remains at 40Kg/mm2 under 200ºC.
3. The thermal conductivity of 0.21W/mk up to 200ºC is lower than current asbestos materials or glass compositions and therefore the following merits can be secured:
(1) The time of heating molds is shortened
(2) The rise of the molding machine is speeded up.
(3) Energy is saved.
